Productronica, Munich 2017At this year's Productronica, the focus was firmly on not only the Internet of Things, but also big data and miniaturisation. Telsonic's presence at the trade fair embraced these subjects, joining forces with our partner, Schleuniger, to present visitors with innovative solutions. The extensive array of sample applications on show once again illustrated our wide-ranging expertise in ultrasonic metal welding. One example being showcased in this area was strand welding using the Telso®Splice wire splicing system plus the brand-new quality monitoring system provided by our TQCC. PowerWheel® welding proved another highlight. Representing lightweight construction applications, the MT8000 torsional metal welding press was used to demonstrate contact part welding on aluminium cables with large cross-sections. Another innovation presented at the Telsonic stand was Telso®Con, the new data interface developed in conjunction with our partner, DiIT. This is now available as a smart connection between the Telso®Splice wire splicing system and the 4Wire CAO software solution from DiIT.
